Curious About Therapeutic Touch?

Holistic medicine is a philosophy of care giving that actively looks at the whole person. It involves all modalities of diagnosis and treatment, such as drugs and surgery, as well as natural and noninvasive procedures. Quantum-Touch teaches simple, effective techniques to accelerate the healing process. Our philosophy is that "All Healing Is Self Healing." We place a strong emphasis on the responsibility of individuals to educate themselves as part of a holistic approach. Many of our certified Quantum-Touch practitioners located around the word use multiple modalities during their healing sessions.

Therapeutic Touch (TT), also known as Non-Contact Therapeutic Touch (NCTT), is an energy healing technique derived from ancient practices and originated by Dora Kunz and Dolores Kreiger. The theory behind this technique is that humans are complex beings of energy and that we have a natural capability to enhance healing in another.

Similar to Quantum-Touch, research on Therapeutic Touch suggests our biology is driven by a life force energy”prana, which penetrates inside and extend 5-10 feet beyond our physical body. When we are in state of well-being, this energy is balanced and harmonious.

Unfortunately, due to emotional traumas, eating junk food, lack of physical exercise, addiction to drugs and unethical behavior, the normal energy flow is blocked or disturbed which results in physical, mental, emotional or spiritual suffering. Proponents of Therapeutic Touch report that the treatment removes the blockages or disruption.

A number of studies in various countries have concluded that Therapeutic Touch eases the discomfort or distress of the client and speeds up the healing process.

How to do it?

The patient is lying down, but may also be sitting or standing. There is no need to take off the clothes. Therapeutic Touch consists of four steps which last between 10 to 30 minutes

First step: Is called centering. In this step, the therapist makes an effort to clear his/her mind in order to intuitively communicate with client's energy system that indicates a disease.

Second step: Therapist holds his/her hands 2 to 6 inches above the client's body and he/she passes both hands and palms facing downward, head to toe along the patients body. In this process, therapist locates the blockages or disruption in the client's energy system.

Third step: Therapist makes several passes over client's body with his/her hands. At the end of each pass, therapist releases the blocked energy by moving his hands into the air past the toes of the patient.

Fourth step: Therapist transfers his/her own pure and healthy energy to client to re-energize him/her.

Side effects or complication of Therapeutic Touch

Minor side effects that could arise include nausea, dizziness, restlessness and irritability. These are considered positive signs and signal that the energy is balancing. It is a contemporary technique and should be used with conventional medical care.

What it can be used for?

Therapeutic Touch has been reported in being useful with treating diseases such as diabetes mellitus, cancer, stroke, cardiac attack, chronic infection, migraine, asthma, coma, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, Alzheimers disease, depression, anxiety and psychosis. Apart from its effects on physical and mental problems, it is also useful in balancing the chakras, which helps a person to awaken their intuition, open their third eye and they may experience a deeper connection with the Divine.
