Arriving Where You Already Are

So much of life is often spent rushing – trying to arrive somewhere we believe is different than the place we already stand. But what if every experience is available to us right now? Sure, we have deadlines and goals, and there’s work to do, but what if instead of being so focused on achieving, we simply allow ourselves to be in the moment and trust the experience to reveal itself to us at the right time?
It is definitely a practice and sometimes I fall into the net of isolating parts of myself to reach certain goals and getting into task mode. So, I slow down, take a deep breath, and allow myself to feel the energy gently flowing through me. I’m reminded that I’m in the best place I can possibly be, whether I’m typing on my computer, folding laundry, or cooking dinner. In every moment, you have the opportunity to approach it with childlike wonder and say, “Wow, this is so exciting, I get to do this project, how lucky am I!”
Again, not always easy, but Quantum-Touch and other energy healing and mindfulness practices helps us get closer to a place of appreciation and love, where life force energy just flows. We are not separate from this energy, it is us. Just like we all breathe the same air, and without it, none of us would be around, same too with life force energy.
I’ve noticed, that I sometimes get taken out of the present moment when I’m uncomfortable, whether it’s on a conscious or unconscious level. Certain behavior and actions trigger certain psychological responses and sometimes all I want to do is take a nap or run away, but if I stay with it and acknowledge the resistance showing up inside me and gently allow it to merge with my being, energy starts to resurface again and I feel more alive and connected to whatever is in front of me.
Often, we hide from discomfort because the belief is it’ll be painful, and sometimes it is for a brief moment, but if you allow yourself to gently feel whatever shows up without judgement or preconceived notions, the area holding the issue starts to harmonize and greater flow of energy is the result.
I’ve lately realized that if I want to experience peace in every element of my life, it’s important to address past hurt and separation – and feel it, love it, forgive.
We forgive others, but most importantly we forgive ourselves. The cool thing about forgiveness, I noticed, is that it’s a practice. When we enter forgiveness, often layers come off but it is something to be repeated often as we get caught up in mental drama and feel ourselves fall back into old wounds. The vibration of familiar pain is something we’re used to and one of the best ways to rise above it is to shift our vibration.
Some ways we can shift our vibration is by using Quantum-Touch (breath and intention), by feeling and surrendering to whatever shows up without judgement, and/or by extending love and forgiveness to ourselves and others.
All of us are human, all born into this world, all made up of life force energy. How unfortunate some people do unfortunate things, and often our first reaction is to judge them and isolate ourselves from them, but just like in Quantum-Touch we say, “Give more energy not less,” same with someone who affects us negatively. They need more of our love, not less. This of course doesn’t mean that we stay in a harmful situation, but even from a safe distance, we can access love in our hearts and feel compassion for the person capable of harmful actions. It’s amazing what this can do. Change yourself, you change the world. Love yourself, you love the world.
