The Beauty in Death

I want to share with you my experience of my mother dying and how your participation with Quantum-Touch made it the most beautiful experience of my life, and exactly the way she wanted it.

On September 1st 2014, my mother turned 91.  She was still sharp as a tack and although she had slowed down, she was still an avid gardener in her little patio and didn't need any help getting around.  Fiercely independent, she always said that if she ever couldn't take care of herself, she wouldn't want to live.

On September 14th, she had a stroke. She luckily wasn't paralyzed but had trouble cognitively going in and out of lucidity. She also said she didn't like the taste of anything and had a hard time swallowing.

We immediately lit a candle and started sending her Quantum-Touch. After a few days, she was transferred from the hospital to a rehabilitation center. She started therapy and was doing well for a couple of weeks.

Although she continued to improve slowly, it was very hard and frustrating.

On Friday, the 10th of October, we held a Quantum-Touch healing circle for her. The next day, Saturday, she said she didn't want any more therapy or medication, stopped eating and drinking, and wanted to go home to die.

She was home by the afternoon. She said, it felt great to be home and went straight out to her garden and sat there. She asked to see her remaining siblings of which there are 3, made arrangements with hospice and began her process of dying. This is a process that can take up to 3 or 4 weeks, so Kim and I made plans to go see her for Friday the 17th.

All the while my brother, who is retired, and had been with her through all this, kept us informed each day.  On Tuesday my brother said she was declining rapidly, so Kim and I moved up our plane tickets to Thursday.

Wednesday, after seeing her last sibling, she had another stroke on the way to her garden that left her bed-ridden. We got in late Thursday night. The next morning, we went to see her early. We were by her side for the next 4 1/2 days. On October 21st at 1:01 pm she took her final breath with me, Kim and my brother in the room holding on to her.

Throughout this entire process so much of your love and beautiful messages poured in and was profoundly felt. We felt, she was assisted each step of the way and we were supported as well. Even the 2nd stroke helped her go quickly. The hospice workers were absolute angels.

She was never in any pain and required no medication. Shed died peacefully, 10 days after her decision, with loved ones by her side in the comfort of her own home, exactly the way she wanted. It couldn't have been more perfect.

We don't always know how Quantum-Touch will be used but we can be assured that it goes where it needs to go.

What a blessing that we have the gift of our love that we can send anyone, any time, anywhere in the world.  It's great to be a part of the Quantum-Touch community and know our love has so much impact.

I will treasure this experience for the rest of my life.
