Hi, I am new to QT, having simply read the book and watched the video.
My first 'patient' outside of myself, my wife and our cat, was an ex-nurse of 30 plus years experience. She had been forced to take early retirement after an accident at work damaged her back and left her in varying degrees of agony 24 hours a day.
She was very sceptical about QT, but the day we spoke, she had not been able to sleep for 48 hours, so she decided to let me try. I asked about her pain level and she said, on a good day six, on a bad day ten, and this had been going on for four years.
She defined three vertebre as being problems so I started with five minutes on each, then called a break. She had not said a word during the treatment, but got up and walked around the room and then gave a face splitting smile and bent down and touched her toes, (all five foot two and 180lbs of her, and said "I haven't done that in four years".
So I gave her another fifteen minute treatment, and this time she got up and did a little dance!!
I asked her to take it easy and call me the next day for another treatment.
She called up the next day, said she had slept twelve hours and had no more pain and did not want another treatment!
I am 64 and was not too sure what to do with my retirement, boredom being my biggest worry. Well, I now have a new career and am really looking forward to being able to help people in pain and in distress, this feels far more rewarding than running three billion dollars worth of projects for a major telco, (my last career.....).
