I have a friend who is having issues with an official authority abusing power. This is a common theme in this friend's life so it tends to create a strong anger response - skin reddening and body shakes. In the midst of our activities we had about 15 free minutes, so I asked if they could identify where in their body the anger over the current situation was. My friend said, "my liver is kicking and my blood pressure is rising from focusing on it!"

I put my hands on either side of the liver area and started a roughly 4-4 breath with sweeps, brought joy and love into my heart (by bringing to mind places and a person I love), while focusing mainly on intent. 7 minutes into it I asked how it was going and my friend said they were having trouble holding onto the anger! This is truly amazing as this friend, in full temper, puts me on edge even though I am less than half as old and they are osteoporotic! I just hang on and wait for the wave to pass.

This was shocking to us because my previous attempts (with bone issues) had yielded no noticeable results. The biggest difference between the sessions, besides this being an emotional session rather than a physical, is that I used the "Henry" technique from QT and focused more on intent than technique.

To top this day off, I got a text message from my girlfriend asking me to work on an area of her lower back she had just hurt during the first half of work. I took 5 or 6 minutes to choose (feel?) an area of her back to work on, then used the same love and intent method adding a spinning ball of energy with a loving aspect. I went back to work and spent the next 15 minutes with the love and intent at the front of my mind looking to see that the ball was still spinning and causing it to spin faster.

I found out later she sent the message as she was trying, unsuccessfully, to find a position to lie in to relieve her pain on her lunch break. 40 minutes later, back to work, she had stopped noticing if her back hurt at all. As of now, 9 hours later, her back doesn't hurt at all.

Using just sweeping and breathing I've had a 1-in-10 success rate with my girlfriend's issues with hands on for at least 30 minutes. Having success at a distance is very encouraging.

More joy. More love. Intent over technique!
